Free Photography WordPress Block Theme - Photology

Designed for photographers and visual storytellers.

Introducing Photology

Photology is a free WordPress block theme for photographers and visual storytellers who want their images, portfolio, and creative approach to lead their online presence. Let your images and visual stories lead while keeping your services and creative approach clear. Built with Full Site Editing (FSE) and Gutenverse, it gives you a visual starting point that you can adapt to your own brand.

The Photology preview uses wedding, event and business photography sections alongside portfolio and portfolio-grid navigation. The design also includes photographer team and client testimonial sections. Adapt these sections to your own material in the WordPress block editor with the free Gutenverse plugin, replacing sample details and connecting enquiry buttons to your actual workflow.

Who This Theme Is For

Photology is designed for photographers and visual storytellers. The demo focuses on wedding, event and business photography sections, making it a useful starting point when these subjects are central to your website. Compare the portfolio and portfolio-grid navigation with the content you plan to publish before choosing this free design.

Pages and Layouts

The Photology live demo links to Home, About Us, Services, Portfolio, Portfolio Grid, Single Portfolio, and Contact. Photology's demo brings together wedding, event and business photography sections, portfolio and portfolio-grid navigation, and photographer team and client testimonial sections.

Start by adapting the wedding, event and business photography sections to your own content. Use the work and case-study layouts to explain individual examples instead of leaving project images without context. Customise Photology in the WordPress block editor with the free Gutenverse plugin. The live preview shows the design; check the importer separately for the layouts available to your edition.

Things to Know

A quick overview of the demo content, requirements, customization options, and other details to help you get the most from your setup.

What’s Included in the Import?

The available page-import files for Photology contain block content with sample text and demo image references. Importing the selected content adds those blocks; referenced images must be available for the image import to complete.

For the design overview, see Pages and Layouts. A separate menu-import file was not found in the checked archive; review or create your navigation in WordPress. The theme supplies its style defaults; importing content does not configure your own logo, contact details or connected services.

Requirements & License

Use Photology with WordPress and activate Gutenverse and Gutenverse Form. The included free design can be used without a paid Gutenverse license. Premium templates and PRO controls require a separate upgrade if you choose to add them.

See Theme Information for the version requirements and, where applicable, eligible plans. Gutenverse Form provides the form blocks used by this design.

Editing & Customisation

Edit Photology’s site templates and shared header/footer through Appearance → Editor. Edit the imported page content in the WordPress block editor, then select individual Gutenverse blocks to change their text, imagery, spacing and responsive settings.

For Photology, start with the wedding, event and business photography sections, then replace the sample material in the portfolio and portfolio-grid navigation. Review the photographer team and client testimonial sections and their destinations after importing. Test the finished page on desktop, tablet and mobile, and check any forms or external links you connect.

Is Photology Right for Your Website?

Choose Photology if you need a design centred on wedding, event and business photography sections. Compare its portfolio and portfolio-grid navigation and photographer team and client testimonial sections with your own content, image proportions and preferred enquiry path.

Prepare imagery and video that suit the demo proportions and contrast. Client proofing, private galleries, file delivery and print sales need additional tools if your workflow requires them.
